Activity - 1 : PUPPET PALOOZA The English Club conducted the much-awaited Puppet palooza competition, with the preliminary round held on 9th August 2025 in the school auditorium. A total of 25 teams from class VI-IX participated with great zeal and fervour. After an intense and entertaining round, 6 teams were shortlisted for the finals. The grand finale was held on 15th August 2025 in the auditorium. The theme for this year’s event was “Tribute to Martyrs”. The aim of the Puppet Show was to enhance participants’ communication skills while encouraging them to explore their creativity in storytelling. The finalists astounded the audience and judges alike with their unique interpretations, innovative scripts, and engaging presentations. It was truly a delightful blend of imagination and narration. The event was hosted by the Club Secretary Master Mithilesh and Miss. Bhavya. Mithilesh warmly welcomed the gathering, while Bhavya extended a heartfelt gratitude through vote of thanks. The winners were congratulated for their outstanding performances, and all participants were appreciated for their creativity, dedication, and effort. The event was judged by Mr. Thomas, and Mrs. Devika the Heads of the Department of English, whose keen observations and thoughtful feedback enriched the experience for all participants. Out of the 6 finalists, three teams emerged as winners, securing the first, second, and third positions respectively. Profound gratitude was expressed to the judges, the teachers of English Department, the participants, and even the non-participants whose support contributed to the smooth and successful completion of the event. Overall, Puppet palooza was not only a showcase of talent but also a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs, leaving the audience inspired and entertained.
Activity - 2 : LLINGUA LIFT The English Club successfully completed its second activity for the academic year 2025-2026, an awareness initiative titled “Lingua Lift” on 14th November 2025, coinciding with Children’s Day. The activity aimed to enhance students’ linguistic awareness by emphasizing the importance of correct pronunciation, appropriate usage and confident communication. The session was held from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and involved enthusiastic participation from Classes VI to IX. A total of 10 groups from the English Club represented the Club. They presented well-prepared PowerPoint presentations highlighting commonly mispronounced words and frequently misused expressions in everyday speech. The presentations were designed to be interactive, engaging, and educational, enabling students to recognize their language errors and learn the correct forms in a fun and relatable manner. The purpose of this initiative was to foster clear, confident, and effective communication among students, thereby helping them avoid misunderstandings that arise due to incorrect usage. With the dedicated guidance of the Club Secretaries and the English Presidents the awareness activity was carried out smoothly and successfully. Overall, “Lingua Lift” proved to be an enriching and impactful initiative, promoting linguistic accuracy, confidence, and a love for the English language among the students.
Activity - 3 : PAGES OF HOPE Date: 31.01.2026 Day: Saturday The English Club successfully organized an outreach activity titled “Pages of Hope” at Lotus Home Orphanage on 31st January 2026. The initiative aimed to foster a love for reading among the children and emphasize the importance of literacy in their personal and academic growth. The highlight of the activity was the donation of books suitable for different age groups, allowing the children to explore stories, knowledge-based books, and educational material appropriate for their age and reading level. The donation was accompanied by a short speech by the Club members about the importance of reading, how it broadens knowledge, enhances imagination, and builds confidence. To make the session more interactive and fun, the children also participated in storytelling through Role Play, games, and other engaging activities, which encouraged them to express themselves, learn collaboratively, and enjoy the learning process. The purpose of this outreach initiative was not only to instil a habit of reading but also to provide resources that the children can continue to explore on their own. With the dedicated guidance of the Club Secretaries and English Presidents, the activity was conducted smoothly and successfully. Overall, “Pages of Hope” proved to be a meaningful and rewarding initiative, spreading the joy of reading, nurturing linguistic and cognitive skills, and inspiring a lifelong love for learning among the children at Lotus Home Orphanage
